I received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN in May 1996.  After teaching for quite a few years I decided to go back to school and get my masters degree.  I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee University in 2008.  I continued my education with MTSU and earned my Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010.

I have been teaching at Frank Hughes School since August of 1996.  During my first three years I was a Title 1 Reading teacher.  Upon the beginning of my fourth year I began teaching Middle School Math.  This has been my post since and I thoroughly enjoy this position.  I have also sponsored many activities and clubs in my years here.  My first two years I was sponsor for the yearbook.  After that I moved on to High School Cheerleading.  I stayed with those girls for about seven years. I have many fond memories with the former Cheerleaders of FHS.  In 2005 I began helping Mr. Love with the sponsorship of our High School Beta Club. This Club has stolen my heart and a lot of my time.  I am constantly working on ideas of fundraisers and programs we can be involved in.  We take an annual trip in the spring of each year.  Most of our efforts throughout the year are to raise funds for these trips.
